Look at the world around you.

Most days we’re too busy to look around us. Photography can force us to slow down, think about our scenery. Looking at different scenery and slowing down calms us and allows us to transport away, even if it’s only for a moment.

South Saint Paul, MN

This swing bridge is located just outside of Saint Paul on the Mississippi River. I took this photo years ago and I can still remember the hours I sat outside in the middle of a sleet storm. This bridge doesn’t turn often so it was a matter of patience and persistance.

Eureka Springs, AR

Eureka Springs holds a special place in my heart because it’s so easy to travel to and seems to always bring me peace. The woods that crawl over the hills of Arkansas never cease to inspire and amaze me. I love the texture of the trees that you can look at for days.

Louisburg, KS

This scene is from the south side of Kansas City just outside of Louisburg, KS. The white is from the city lights. Initially I was in the area and thought I could see some of the northern lights that were occurring. I wasn’t able to see anything from the northern lights but I was able to see the absolutely beautiful night sky.

Kansas City, MO

This scene is from the West side of Kansas City just past the river. The beauty of the city is never lost on me and continues to amaze me.

Kansas City,Mo

This is a scene where the Cheifs had just won the first game of the 2024 season and you can see the Marriott and the spires in the city showing support!

Kansas Countryside

Deep into the Kansas countryside on the side of a dirt road, I sat at night watching the Comet A3 sink into the horizon. With cows and horses in the background and a crisp fall air rolling in with fog, I captured the stars and comet with a full moon. This photo was completely lit by moonlight.

Estes Park, CO

On a cool December morning I explored the city of Estes Park and caught this beautiful cabin on the lake as the warm sun broke through the blue hour. The fog rising from the partially frozen lake really helps show the duality of late fall in the mountains.

Rocky Mountain National Park

In early December 2024, I had my first opportunity to see to The Rocky Mountain National Park. The air was crisp air as I got into the mountains and the sun felt warm. The views were so beautiful between the snow capped mountains and the lush green trees.
